1. Process Overview & Magnetic Separation Flowsheet
The Feldspar Beneficiation & Magnetic Separation Plant removes coloring iron impurities (hematite, biotite, tourmaline, and staining limonite) from pegmatite and granite feldspar ores. The raw ore is crushed in a two-stage circuit consisting of a PE Series Jaw Crusher and a Symons Hydraulic Cone Crusher to under 10 mm.
Secondary grinding takes place in a Mineral Processing Ball Mill fitted with high-alumina ceramic liners to prevent secondary iron contamination. The discharge is deslimed via Hydrocyclone Separators and intensely scrubbed in attrition scrubbers to polish particle surfaces. The pulp passes through multi-stage Wet High-Gradient Magnetic Separators (SLon WHGMS) at 1.2 to 1.8 Tesla magnetic flux density, reducing iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) levels from 0.8% down to under 0.05% with fired whiteness exceeding 90% L*.
