1. Process Overview & Flowchart Explanation

The Hematite & Limonite Beneficiation Plant processes weakly magnetic iron oxide ores (Fe2O3 and FeO(OH)). Run-of-mine ore is reduced through a PE Series Jaw Crusher and Symons Hydraulic Cone Crusher, then milled in a Mineral Processing Ball Mill and sized with a Spiral Classifier to achieve fine mineral grain liberation.

Because hematite possesses low magnetic susceptibility, pulp is fed through High Gradient Magnetic Separators (SLon Vertical Ring pulsating magnetic separators generating background fields up to 1.65 Tesla). Pulsating fluid agitation prevents matrix blinding. For refractory high-silica ores, the magnetic concentrate undergoes reverse anionic flotation in XCF-KYF Flotation Machines to float quartz gangue away, before final cake filtration on a Disc Vacuum Filter.

2. Technical Advantages & Features

  • High Magnetic Field Gradient: 1.0–1.65 Tesla vertical ring magnetic matrix captures fine weakly magnetic hematite and limonite particles down to 20 microns.
  • Anti-Clogging Pulsating Mechanism: Alternating fluid pulsation keeps magnetic rods continuously clean from non-magnetic slurry clogging.
  • Combined High-Intensity Magnetic + Reverse Flotation: Successfully upgrades 30-38% Fe ores to 62-66% Fe premium metallurgical concentrate.
  • Continuous Solid-Liquid Separation: Disc vacuum filtration yields dry cakes with low residual moisture for sintering plants.
