1. Process Overview & Flowchart Explanation
The Lead-Zinc Differential Flotation Plant selectively separates complex galena (PbS) and sphalerite (ZnS) mineral associations. The ore is crushed by PE Series Jaw Crushers and milled in Mineral Processing Ball Mills with Spiral Classifiers and Hydrocyclone Separators to ensure fine liberation of interdependent lead and zinc crystal grains.
In the first differential flotation stage, zinc depressants (zinc sulfate and sodium cyanide) are added to inhibit sphalerite while SF-XJ Self-Aeration Flotation Machines float galena, producing lead concentrate. The tailings are then conditioned with copper sulfate to reactivate the sphalerite, followed by xanthate collectors in a secondary SF-XJ flotation bank to float zinc concentrate. Both concentrates are thickened in High Efficiency Thickeners and filtered via Disc Vacuum Filters.
